[Morwenna Kearns, editor]

If you haven't seen our new Production Print stream, from now on we'll be including some news and views here so you can catch up. Some people consider print and paper a dying medium, but recently I've been thinking about the whether the switch to online for information is anywhere near complete. Last month I went to a bike shop listed in several online directories to find it was long closed, for instance. Printers understand the time-sensitivity of what they produce, while I wonder if website managers realise that what they post has the same problems. In that vein, to keep Output as fresh as possible we're on the hunt for news from across the graphics sphere, so let us know what you've been up to.

Asics Run With Ryan

The Output office's Video of the Week has been this digital signage application from CBS Outdoor and Inwindow Outdoor. Currently live on the New York subway, the 19.5m-long videowall shows a real-time, life-size film of marathon-runner Ryan Hall sprinting the distance of the screen, with advertiser Asics inviting passersby to pitch themselves against him.

We liked how the content was created to complement the dimensions of the videowall in order to get people involved. The story of the campaign is on Output too.

There are lots more videos on Output's own YouTube channel. Why not take a look?
