[Morwenna Kearns, editor]

Now the post-anniversary party headaches have worn off it's time to look forward to the second year of Output, and to the graphics market in general. Next year will be a significant one for many of us as the effect of European economic change combines with a plethora of trade shows, from the established and massive in the form of drupa to the new and niche at EcoPrint. It may be a year of finding a delicate balance between moving forward while watching your step, but it's likely to be an exciting one.

William Smith hosts its open day event

Our favourite video this week is William Smith's own documentation of the open day it hosted at its head office in Barnard Castle, UK. Customers and suppliers were there to talk tech, applications and a whole lot more. Not only that, but William Smith also gave attendees the opportunity to get hands-on with a number of its machines and products. Looks like a great time for those lucky enough to have been there and a great event idea for others in the industry to follow.
