In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we at Output are spreading the love with our first e-newsletter – a round-up of the most insightful news, engaging features and poignant questions of the past few days, all delivered straight to your inbox. If, like V2 Display Solutions, you have some news, please get in touch and you could be included next week.

Remember you can personalise your Output to make sure you only read what you want from the three graphic display disciplines of sign-making, wide-format print and digital signage, so go to the site to put your stamp on it. While you're there, do use our contact form to let us know what you think of the site or our newsletter – we're always keen to hear your thoughts.

Happy Outputting!

This week, we're asking:

How big is a big colour gamut?

Our Talk Print! bloggers Laurel Brunner and Sophie Matthews-Paul answer the Question of the Week with their own points of view, but what do you think? What are your thoughts on the claims made by wide-format printer manufacturers? And is a wide gamut important for all PSPs?

Also on our Talk Print! section, sponsored by HP, we have advice on choosing a wide-format printer, a look at how a company's staff can be its greatest asset in terms of new ideas, and the benefits of variable data printing (VDP) in display production, as well as news and views from HP.

You're welcome to get involved with Talk Print! too – contact us to see how your opinion or experience of wide-format print issues could be included.

Cinema City in Israel goes full screen

The installation of some 300 digital screens in Israel's Cinema City is a striking example of the ways in which digital signage can be leveraged in the public realm to create a sense of theatre and excitement for entertainment venues. The sheer scope of the project, which is driven by software from YCD Multimedia, is extremely arresting. The project shows how digital signage can inject vitality through scale and consequent visual impact – a prime example being the digital menu board, which YCD states is one of the largest in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIE7rMpwlp0&feature=player_embedded
