CNC software developer Vectric has announced a 30 percent increase in sales since last spring, and has now invested in new premises, an expansion of its staff and an acquisition deal.

Its new site is 'a beautifully restored Victorian building' close to its former office in Worcestershire, UK, which has allowed Vectric to expand its team with the appointment of Sara Marques, an experienced applications and support engineer who will support the Vectric community, says the company. Also new to the company is Simon Clayton, whose responsibility will be to 'inspire new tools and features for the software range' with his experience in CNC design, modelling and software manufacturing.

In addition, Vectric is to acquire USA-based Vector Art 3D, which provides 3D models and services to be used with CNC machines specifically. This means a relocation of Vector Art 3D to Vectric's new UK office, including its founder James Booth, who will become a director of Vectric.
