The latest developments to Tightrope's Carousel platform will allow users to create location-specific weather forecasts
Tightrope Media Systems will demonstrate the latest upgrades to its Carousel digital signage platform at InfoComm 2012, taking place in Las Vegas between June 13th and 15th. The developments aim to 'deliver a richer experience for viewers, and new creative and reporting capabilities for end users'.
Among the new features is Carousel's integration with Tightrope's Zeplay Instant Replay Server, designed for sports stadiums, as well as support for the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) emergency warning system and extended location-based data including local weather forecast creation. Tightrope will also reveal additional multi-lingual options, such as right-to-left text for Arabic, Hebrew and Farsi and word-wrapping for Japanese, Korean and both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Tightrope explains that it has also addressed social media integration with the latest updates, with Carousel now offering live publishing of Twitter, RSS and other data-based feeds.
A new report publishing module for Carousel will also be demonstrated, which allows users to 'intelligently filter' status, schedule and impression data and is a 'key benefit for sponsors on advertising-supported networks', says Tightrope.
