The Screen will look at the signage in situ at The O2 later this month
NEC is to host its 2012 Display Showcase at The O2 arena in London, UK on April 25th, where it will demonstrate its digital signage technology alongside a number of its partners. DOOH association The Screen is hosting a complementary briefing event to present experts' opinions on the sector.
Over 25 of NEC's solution partners will show how it uses NEC equipment, including Microsoft, Intel, AMX, Crestron and PSCo, while products including large-format flat panels and videowalls will be demonstrated.
The Screen will offer two sessions, the first on 'The O2: A Digital Journey' where the digital wayfinding signage, advertising boards and ticketing technologies used in the arena will be discussed by NEC's Simon Jackson, AEG Global's Lesley Saville, Lisa McHugh from Sky and Simon Rees of DCM.
'Digital Engagement: The Techniques' is the topic for the afternoon briefing, and will take a more practical view of the creation of specific signage creative techniques, including mobile interaction, 3D and augmented reality. NEC Vukunet's Dirk Huelsermann, Neil Morris from Grand Visual, Mark Reynard from 3D-Hub and White Space Productions, and mobile consultant and trainer Rob Thurner will provide their expert insight.
Places for The Screen's sessions must be booked in advance.
