Scala conference announces keynote line-up

Scala intends to bring businesses together at its 2011 conference, taking place on September 14th and 15th
Digital signage software company Scala has announced its line-up of keynote speakers for the upcoming International Scala Conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, taking place on September 14th and 15th.
Scala chief executive Gerard Bucas will take to the stage on day one, sharing news from the company and discussing its view on future market developments. Other speakers include Florian Rotberg of out-of-home organisation OVAB and consultant invidis, who will present a market overview and some of his knowledge about business developments in the digital signage industry.
HP's José Avalos will discuss some of Intel's involvement in digital signage, embedded retailing, technologies and new industry platforms, while Scala experts Peter Cherna and Jeff Porter will present development highlights for Scala software releases and discuss Scala's longer-term strategic road map, respectively.
Telecine's James Fine and Stephane Bastien will look at ten successful Scala projects from a concept and content perspective that go beyond what Scala can do out of the box.
Besides these keynote presentations, Scala is offering project presentations on a variety of topics including the use of digital signage in fast-food chains, restaurants, hotels and academic institutions, and in showcasing high-end lingerie. Scala will also feature product development exhibits by a range of attending companies.
