3M Touch Systems's multi-touch displays can be used for a range of applications
3M Touch Systems will demonstrate how its digital multi-touch displays can be used in the gaming industry at the ICE 2011 exhibition in the new year.
The division of technology company 3M will showcase a number of products which use its Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT) to offer 20-plus simultaneous touches with a response time of less than six milliseconds. This allows the displays to be used for applications such as multi-player card tables in casinos, as well as other interactive display uses.
Products to be presented at ICE 2011 – which is aimed at the gaming sector – will include 22" Multi-Touch Display M2256PW, which can handle 'the most demanding professional applications' with a high-definition, wide viewing-angle LCD. In addition, there will be wall displays made up of multiple multi-touch monitors, and versions of 3M's MicroTouch System such as those designed for rugged and vandal-prone applications, antiglare versions, and products for tactile feedback applications.
ICE 2011 will take place at Earls Court, London from January 25th to 27th.
