i-Display's digital signage has been used in the display of brands such as the Aura mobile phone
i-Display has launched a new digital out-of-home (DOOH) solution aimed chiefly at the retail and hospitality markets. The Wi-Fi enabled device allows users to update content remotely through a web-based system, whilst its ability to run on a four-cell rechargeable battery renders it an easily movable choice, says the company.
The iView, which also has the option of being run on mains power through an AC adaptor, has a battery lifespan of eight to nine hours when playing video and up to ten hours when featuring JPEG content.
Ariel Haroush, chief executive of Outform, the parent company of i-Display, notes: "We are really excited to add the iView to our line of digital signage displays. As we see it as a perfect low-cost digital signage solution for any type of retail chain without the hassle of complicated content management.
"We are fully aware that each and every retailer will have various needs as it strives to attract its client base and increase the ROI and the iView offers this versatility."
The display measures 10.2" diagonally and comes with one 1.6" speaker. MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 (Divx4, Divx5, Xvid) and MJPEG video formats are supported by the iView, whilst images must be JPEGs.
