Visitors to the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is currently taking place in Las Vegas, will be able to engage with MediaTile's latest cloud-based free-standing digital signage offering, the HumanKiosk.
The product, which makes use of Verizon Wireless's 4G LTE mobile broadband, which the company states is the fastest network in the USA, provides a virtual customer service experience through two-way video conversations.
"With the HumanKiosk and MediaCast Video Presence running on 4G LTE, consumers can now ask direct, face-to-face questions of subject matter experts and brand authorities 'in the cloud' and pose these questions where and when it matters most," explains Simon Wilson, chief executive of MediaTile.
"Whether they are in the aisle of a store, the lobby of a hotel, the foyer of a bank, or other venues, consumers can get answers to their specific questions when they require immediate and accurate information."
The kiosks also carry digital merchandising content and, the companies state, require no additional technology on-site or complicated set-up. The HumanKiosk will be on display from January 6th (today) to 9th at the Verizon Wireless booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
