Pinpoint Media has an extensive network of digital panels in Canada's convenience stores
In-store digital media company iSign has announced the receipt of purchase orders totalling C$3m (£1.9m) from Pinpoint Media for 1,400 licences for its Interactive Marketing Solution (IMS) 3.1 software. This will give the Canadian firm access to some 85m consumers per month through Bluetooth-enabled mobile device promotional communications.
Pinpoint is currently estimated to reach an audience of approximately 1.5m people daily through its convenience store systems. If the company is able to reach the number of consumers projected by iSign, it will have the single largest interactive audience footprint in the world at present.
Enmanuel Rumbos, president of Pinpoint, says: "The 500 transceivers have been delivered and we expect to start their installation this week. The IMS 3.1 software is in the process of being downloaded into our digital players at selected convenience stores and we anticipate having the full installation of both the software and transceivers completed by mid-April."
Alex Romanov, chief executive, iSign, adds: "What is key to our IMS 3.1 solution is the ability to attract, transact and measure the advertising eco-system in a very cost-efficient way."
