Launched in 2008, Flypaper is a Flash content creation platform from Flypaper Studio that gives both programmers and non-programmers the ability to create, edit, share and track Flash and video content. Digital developers are able to produce Flash material quickly and efficiently, Flypaper Studio explains, while giving their clients full accessibility to share and reuse the created projects.

The offering is designed to rival the interactivity and quality of custom Flash development but in a fraction of the time and at a lower cost than is typically associated with such projects. Digital content developers and users can leverage the Flypaper Platform to create professional-level content easily with little or no experience.

Flypaper says that its offering enables clients to improve return on investment (ROI) by helping them bypass costly third party developers. This is due to the accessibility of the system, which allows operators to create and edit their own material. Flypaper facilitates multi-author editing, making it simple for businesses to manage their content once it is designed.

In February 2011, Flypaper released its newest version, Flypaper 3.5. Among the 40 plus new features, the update includes added functionality and support for multi-touch content. Flypaper 3.5 also includes seamless file imports from Photoshop and PowerPoint.

Scott Matthews of MG Digital is a Flypaper partner that uses Flypaper for its ability to create Flash content that integrates seamlessly with the most advanced touchscreens. "Touchscreen technology remains a top interest, especially among digital signage users, and has changed the way we define 'interactive'. Our customers want to develop content that not only engages the viewer on a tactical level, but also allows them to manipulate the content on the screen. This equates to higher offline conversions and stronger brand engagement."

Flypaper notes that its platform has drag-and-drop functionality to replace images and adds that the package is provided with hundreds of templates.
