DGScreen states that it hopes its cloud-based model will make digital signage more accessible
DGScreen, a new name on the European digital signage block, has stated that its combined hardware and software cloud-based offerings will have their official European launch at London's Screenmedia Expo next week.
The company, whose software as a service (SaaS) offerings are designed as scalable options for a range of businesses, will follow the Earls Court-situated event with a showcase at Germany's Digital Signage Europe Expo.
DGScreen states its digital signage products have been developed with a view to enabling targeted advertising, in part through advanced scheduling functionality. The company adds that its software facilitates reporting and real-time monitoring.
"Previously, small- and medium-size businesses couldn't take advantage of digital signage as the cost for such was prohibitive and the installation and usability complex. We applied the advantages of cloud computing to a powerful digital signage solution and made it available on a low cost SaaS model," explains Eyal Rom, European vice-president of sales and marketing.
"Thanks to the dedicated plug-and-play media player and intuitive, web-based interface, the system is easy to install and simple to use. Because it is cloud-based, users can log in to DGScreen from any internet-connected device and leave the rest to us," Rom continues.
