The Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science, formerly the Miami Science Museum, will open in 2015 in a four-acre site

Visual Acuity has been developing a 'fully intelligent' building for the new Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science in Miami, USA, with digital signage part of the overall networked design.

Working with Grimshaw Architects, technology consultancy Visual Acuity developed specifications for the 'core technologies' to be part of the new building, due to open in 2015, including ticketing systems, WiFi, IT networks, distributed antennae and digital signage.

"Our aim is for the building to be fully intelligent, with networked systems that can be operated remotely from anywhere in the building," comments Blair Parkin, managing director, Visual Acuity.
