AOpen's Digital Engine DE3100 is pitched at the application computing market

AOpen has revealed the Digital Engine DE3100, an entry-level media player featuring the Intel Atom Processor D2550, full HD and 'crystal clear audio output'. The manufacturer emphasises the player's small size, which it says makes it suitable for a digital information display, POS system or kiosk.

Each Digital Engine DE3100 unit has undergone shock and vibration operation testing with 40,000/hour MTBF. The product does not need a separate graphics card thanks to an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3650, 'reducing cost, power consumption and noise', says AOpen.

It will be available at the start of July.
