CoolSign technology will allow users of the new Kodak and Haivision solutions to measure screen performance
A deal between Kodak and Haivision has been finalised which will see the latter's CoolSign technology integrated into Kodak's JV700 and JV1000 displays, which have dimensions of 7" (17.78cm) and 10" (25.4cm) respectively.
The offerings will be available across the USA this month and will be rolled out globally over the course of 2011.
The new products will support content in JPEG, M-JPEG, MPEG-4 Part 2 and MPEG-2 formats, and, the manufacturers state, support four key areas: advanced network management, ease of deployment, triggered content and powerful scheduling.
The screens, which can be managed by Wi-Fi internet connection, offer users full playback reporting and sign 'health status' to help operators monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of their digital out-of-home (DOOH) networks.
Kodak and Haivision add that the JV700 and JV1000 allow users to target content with great precision thanks to a 'dayparting' scheduling tool, which enables advertisers to show certain messaging at certain times of day.
