The MHP-1000 and MJP-3000 are compatible with Apple's iPad
A new input device for capacitive touchscreens such as the iPhone and the iPad, the 3M Smart Pen from 3M Touch Systems, has been introduced to the market. The offering comes in two variants, the MHP-1000 and the MJP-3000.
"3M Touch Systems' expertise in touchscreen technology gives us the knowledge and ability to create relevant accessories that further maximise the value of this technology," explains Chris Tsourides, business manager at 3M Touch Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3M.
"The 3M Smart Pen is one of the most accurate and high-quality capacitive touch pens on the market and we are excited to see how users will enable new and unique ways to use this technology on their touchscreen devices."
Both pens feature an ergonomic industrial design, 3M Touch Systems notes, as well as being responsive to a very light touch. The company adds that the pens are appropriate for those working in settings where they need to wear gloves such as healthcare, manufacturing and other sterile environments.
