The HD1010 is BrightSign's flagship model

A new agreement between will see BlueStar take on a distribution role for California-based manufacturer BrightSign's solid-state, non-PC digital kiosk and signage products. BlueStar explains that amongst the benefits of BrightSign's offerings are high-definition video delivery and the ability to play content directly from Flash memory cards.

"BlueStar is excited about our new partnership and channel distribution opportunities with BrightSign," enthuses Gary Childress, BlueStar director of digital signage. "BrightSign products are easy to use, have flexible features and work in the SMB space and large enterprise-wide deployments. The partnership is a perfect fit for our approach of providing product bundles and end-to-end solutions with point-of-sale dealers in the retail and hospitality markets and our growing network of digital signage resellers."

BrightSign's products are designed with interactivity in mind, BlueStar adds, with push buttons, computer mice, touchscreens and other input devices all supported. Some of the players can also be controlled either via WiFi or Ethernet connections, and allow operators to schedule content remotely, as well as enabling the synchronisation of multiple end points.
