Amscreen's digital signage is to be deployed in ENOC/EPPCO petrol station forecourts in the Middle East
Digital signage network owner Amscreen has signed a partnership deal with SmartScreen, a new Dubai-based entity, that will result in Amscreen's signage being deployed in Africa and the Middle East.
The agreement will focus on the retail sector, and has already named the Zoom convenience store network, located within Dubai Metro stations, and petrol company ENOC/EPPCO as clients.
"This deal is an exciting development for Amscreen as it is the first time we have sold signage units to a foreign company. We look forward to working with SmartScreen and seeing their networks develop in the Middle East and Africa," says Simon Sugar, Amscreen chief executive. "It is clear that our wireless plug-and-play solution is the most cost effective signage platform available today and is perfect for deployment within forecourt and convenience environments offering the best of breed in close proximity signage."
SmartScreen is to secure its own content, with AIR Media selling advertising on its behalf, while Amscreen will license the use of its content delivery software to SmartScreen as well as delivering ongoing technical support.
Earlier this year, Amscreen announced the expansion of its BP network outside the UK into petrol station forecourts in Europe.
