CDS will continue to work with brewing company Labatt, for whom it has supplied wireless Pod displays
It has been announced that Digital Display and Communications, a digital signage provider that was purchased by Canadian firm Cineplex Entertainment in July 2010, will operate under its new name Cineplex Digital Solutions (CDS) from now on.
The company, which provides a full digital signage offering from design and installation to operation and maintenance, already has a number of high-profile clients including Sears Canada, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and The Bank of Nova Scotia.
"When we were acquired by Cineplex Entertainment, we knew it was a great opportunity as there is tremendous synergy between the two companies. Our service model networks, combined with Cineplex Digital Media's advertising model networks, sales force and entertainment content provide significant opportunities for future growth," notes Stuart Kirkpatrick, president, CDS. "We are also very pleased to announce our programme expansion with Labatt and the exciting new consulting agreement with the Canucks."
Labatt Breweries of Canada, with whom CDS has worked since 2009 under its former operating name, has revealed that it has chosen the company to provide 170 new Pods – a system that comprises a 32" (81.3cm) LCD monitor and media player incorporated into a custom fixture to highlight the brand's products.
