Monster Media offers a number of DOOH options including interactive floors

Digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising specialist Monster Media, which has worked with clients such as BlackBerry, Disney, Coca-Cola and Google, has announced a new deal with event technology firm Smart City Media. The alliance will see the two firms provide trade show and other event organisers with interactive media solutions.

Some of the collaboratively realised innovations were on display at last week's National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Smart City Networks continues to seek opportunities to better serve our customers at trade shows and events," notes Mark Haley, president of Smart City Networks. "Monster Media's products are more than a simple sign that loops an advertisement. The displays gather information from attendees and users that can enhance the value of the sponsorship that a show manager can sell to his or her exhibitors."

Amongst the features offered by Monster Media and Smart City Media through their new offerings will be the opportunity to stay 'connected' at conventions through Smart City Media's wireless networks and custom-engineered WiFi. The DOOH products will also offer users gesture and touch interaction, email capabilities, photo manipulation and video features, the companies explain.
