The polytouch interactive tables can handle up to ten simultaneous contact points and will be on display at ISE 2012 in Amsterdam
Custom IT systems manufacturer Pyramid Computer will be showing an interactive 'polytouch action table' for diverse applications in the out-of-home markets at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2012 show in Amsterdam from January 31st to February 2nd.
The plug-and-play table will be available in standalone 32" (81.2cm) and 22" (55.8cm) sizes with frameless surfaces made from non-reflective glass. Both are designed for integration with existing desk and counter surfaces, and other totem or kiosk installations. Hardware like cameras, speakers, bluetooth and barcode scanners can also be added to the tables.
The hardware is powered by Intel Core i7-2600 processors and HD 2000 graphics which, Pyramid says, gives 'developers the creative freedom to incorporate even the most advanced multi-user and 3D functionality'.
Although ISE 2012 is the 'first official presentation' of the table, a direct-payment capable polytouch 32 was recently installed in a branch of Marks and Spencer in Paris, France with integrated credit-card readers, receipt printers and 2D scanners.
Pyramid will share the 'polytouch world' show area with its international software partners located at ISE 2012.
