Yeahpoint provided a multimedia shopping 'experience' for the phone shop
Australian digital self-service specialist Yeahpoint has created a multimedia shopping 'experience' in the Orchard Road shopping hub in Singapore at the flagship store of telecommunications provider SingTel. The installation features a 32m dual-sided circular display, which uses 20 projectors at any given time and runs on the yeahWare Core 9 software system.
Commenting on the large-scale centrepiece, Yeahpoint chief executive John Anderson notes: "The giant 32m circular display is an incredibly complex device that is able to run as four independent images or a complete 360º dual-sided display. With the ability to have both stills and seamless animations, it truly has to be seen to be believed."
The site has also had six 42"(1.06m) interactive tables implemented, which enable the public to play games, listen to music and try out SingTel services, as well as a 15-panel video wall that shows IPTV and promotional material. Numerous other touchscreen devices have been embedded in pylons, walls, tabletops, and exterior glass walls across the store.
Diana Chen, head of sales, SingTel, adds: "With the launch of the new SingTel Shop at the Comcentre, we believe that we have set an example for others in the retail industry to follow."
