EnGage Passport 'closes the loop for retailers', says EnQii
EnQii has announced the launch of a new mobile phone application called EnGage Passport, designed to be used with digital signage to allow retailers to deliver targeted offers in their shops.
Customers who download the EnGage Passport mobile app are prompted to 'check in' through digital signage as they go into a shop, allowing retailers to identify who and where they are and tailor offers to them. Promotions or messages can be delivered to the mobile phone or to the digital sign. Additionally, the customer can use the app to see what is in the shop, and to post pictures and messages on Facebook.
"One of the biggest challenges retailers face today is recognising when their online customers enter their physical stores," explains Ajay Chowdhury, cheif executive of EnQii.
"EnGage Passport allows retailers to manage their multi-channel interactions with their customers and allows them to make targeted offers to their online and social customers when they are most ready to buy in the physical store. This closes the loop for retailers and allows them to compete more effectively with their online only rivals."
EnGage Passport will be offered to users of both EnQii's EnGage digital signage and other systems as a 'white labelled' app.
