The delayMirror shows video footage of the user three seconds in the past
Digital signage developer ComQi has announced a new video mirror that allows shoppers to see three-second delayed video feeds of themselves on digital screens in changing rooms.
Called delayMirror, the product is intended to let consumers see the clothes they have tried on from different angles and offers a 'fun in-store experience that shoppers cannot get online or via any other medium'.
ComQi chief technical officer Max Stevens-Guille says: "delayMirror is an Interactive Solution powered by ComQi's EnGage Platform. When you look at yourself in the delayMirror it is almost as if you were looking at someone else – a digital doppelgänger. They look like you, dress like you but they are doing what you did a few moments ago."
The product will be on display at the Integrated Systems Europe 2012 trade show in Amsterdam between January 31st and February 2nd.
