Personal messages can be shown on digital billboards from one to three days using Watchfire's service
Illinois, USA-based Watchfire Digital Outdoor has announced the launch of a website making its digital billboards available for short periods of time to the general public. BillboardToday.com will offer space at a premium rate for one to three days, paving the way for birthday wishes and marriage proposals.
Making its debut at the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB) and Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) conference and expo being held in Miami Beach, Florida until today (May 2nd), the website was created by Watchfire exclusively for operators of its digital billboards in response to market demand for personal or short-term message space. Customers will be able to create, schedule and pay for their ad or message through the website.
"Our billboard operators have been approached to post personal messages like, 'Welcome Home, Soldiers' or 'Happy Birthday', and until now they didn't have a convenient mechanism to sell, create and schedule the ad without disrupting their day-to-day business," says Neil Bell, national sales and marketing consultant, Watchfire Digital Outdoor. "We think Watchfire's BillboardToday.com might help our customers add thousands of dollars to their bottom line annually."
