The Couche-Tard network will use the integration of IMS 3.0 with Pinpoint's network to broadcast advertising to customers' mobile phones

Digital signage advertising network provider Pinpoint Media is to incorporate iSign's Interactive Marketing Solution (IMS) 3.0 software across its convenience store network, allowing advertisers to broadcast messages to users' mobile phones.

Starting in January 2011, the Couche-Tard chain of convenience stores will premiere the system, which transmits adverts to mobile phones, assesses user engagement and analyses the results. Pinpoint says this will enable it to provide advanced 'business intelligence' to its advertisers.

"This will be a very unique ROI opportunity for our advertisers and will be instantly measurable as all signage is embedded and the IMS 3.0 software activated for advertisers," comments Enmanuel Rumbos, president of Pinpoint Media. "This is something that ad agencies and clients alike are constantly looking for in this emerging medium."

iSign adds that its service provides 'confirmed responses' to advertisers, thereby making it 'a marketer's dream', claiming that the system can interact with some 150,000 mobile devices per month from a single unit.
