People waiting in the Emirates Air Line terminals can see promotional messages via Harris digital signage equipment
Harris has announced its turnkey InfoCaster digital out-of-home software and hardware suite has been installed within a signage network on the Emirates Air Line, London's new cable car.
The digital signage network comprises six videowalls – ranging from 46" (1.2m) to a display made up of 24 screens measuring 50" (1.3m) – and 78 screens showing promotional content to passengers at the Emirates Air Line terminals in Greenwich and the North Greenwich Arena.
Harris explains that InfoCaster enables images and videos to be shown on the videowall's native resolution without additional video processors or scaling.
"Passengers are treated to [360˚] panoramic views of London when they use the Emirates Air Line, so it's appropriate that the stunning images start before they step aboard the cabins," says Denise MacDonell, director and general manager, Harris Digital Out-Of-Home Solutions.
The installation was undertaken with The Pioneer Group. Its managing director Paul Childerhouse comments: "At a time when a great deal of investment is being made in London this is a really eye-catching and arresting project – the stunning moving image quality on such large screens that we are able to create using Harris InfoCaster is tremendous."
