The combination of plants and visitor-triggered digital graphics won the Rainbows garden a silver medal

A garden featuring a digital installation developed by Working Solutions has been awarded a silver medal at the Chelsea Flower Show, in the 'Fresh' category.

Leicester-based Working Solutions worked with De Montfort University's Retail Lab to create the installation for Loughborough children's hospice Rainbows, which includes digital projections triggered by age and gender recognition and audio stimulation.

Working Solutions's Acquire Digital software powers the installation and a Quividi plug-in provides the profile recognition. The system chooses appropriate content and plays it for the required period of time without being triggered by other profiles in order to 'create a nice even mix of projections'.

"It is an enormous privilege to be involved and to be able to contribute to such a prestigious event," says Neil Farr, managing director, Working Solutions. "We would like to congratulate the team on winning the silver medal."

The Chelsea Flower Show will run until May 26th, after which the garden will be recreated at Rainbows to provide an area of 'relaxation and reflection' for children, parents and staff.
