Major sportswear retailer Intersport Eybl chose four videowalls for its 14,000sq m flagship branch
Four videowalls have been deployed at the flagship branch of Intersport Eybl, near Vienna in Austria, intended to attract customers' attention in the 14,000sq m sportswear shop.
Lackner Mediasystems was commissioned to create the videowalls, with all of the 28 individual screens controlled by BrightSign HD210 digital display controllers with the Networked Looping Model. BrightAuthor software is used for playlist creation, with support for images, video, and text tickers and the ability to add Twitter and RSS content feeds, Live Text and networked databases. Shop managers are able to upload content via 'a specially developed internet portal'.
'The main visual highlight' of the project, according to BrightSign, is a 4 x 4 array of 46" (1.2m) displays in the centre of the entrance area, while a further display in the shop's denim-themed area uses displays in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Two more videowalls are located in other themed zones of the shop.
