Digital signage company StrandVision has unveiled new screen saver software designed to streamline delivery of corporate announcements to employees.
The application plays the same content that streams over the customer's StrandVision digital signage network on internal and external websites and on screens throughout a corporate facility.
"The StrandVision Digital Signage Screen Saver enables companies to get the most out of their digital signage networks by utilising existing equipment that is temporarily inactive," says StrandVision founder and chief executive Mike Strand. "We've designed a system that fits with corporate networking and computer management protocols while substantially extending the reach of the digital signage network for employee communication."
The application appears in a drop-down selection in the 'screen saver settings' dialogue box on Windows operating systems and works the same way as any other screen saver.
The software costs between $499 (£310) per year, which can equate to 17¢ (11p) per desktop per month for larger installations. It is available immediately from StrandVision and through authorised resellers.
