According to the companies, some visitors have declared the digital signage network a 'mind-blowing demonstration platform'
Scala's technology has been chosen to drive a new digital signage network that was recently installed at the revamped EMEA headquarters of Christie. The site, located in the UK, features Christie's MicroTiles product extensively, with more than 100 of the 41 x 31cm (16 x 12") panels installed. The company states that it wanted to showcase the diverse uses of its proprietary technology.
Dale Miller, Christie's vice-president, EMEA, notes that the collaboration with Scala was 'the logical choice', citing the company's 'long association' in the cinema market as a contributing factor in the decision.
The digital signage overhaul also features four IAdea photo frames. The digital displays, which work through the Scala Content Manager, offer 'full frame-rate DVD quality video playback', IAdea explains.
An 80-tile video wall has also been added to the site, able to support Picture-in-Pictures (PIPs) and blend borders, as well as a large rear-projection panel, coupled with two vertical pillars. The project also includes two screens that deliver wayfinding content in the building's reception.
