AllSee says the aim of installing the digital signage was to inform and educate visitors
Charitable body The Cotswold Canals Trust has had digital signage from AllSee Technologies installed in its conference room, with a view to educating and informing visitors to the site about the work being undertaken to restore the historic waterways.
Birmingham-based AllSee notes that it gave a discount on the 32" (81cm) panel it installed on the premises, as, it explains, it is keen to support charitable and educational bodies where possible.
A 20-minute photo montage is looped on the screen. It takes in various parts of the restoration and includes a map in one corner, which is used to illustrate where on the canals each picture was taken. As well as the display, AllSee provided a built-in media player and a wall mounting, resulting in a plug-and-play solution.
Clive Field, visitor centre manager, explains: "The installation of the digital signage screen promoted more discussion with both staff and visitors, which in turn presented more membership recruitment opportunities."
